1803 CANDLES
Having become a bit of a candle snob over the years, I only wish to feature the best smelling and burning candles. Hence, why I am a proud dealer for 1803 Candles, and have been for over 10 years. Each of their candles are hand-poured right here in Illinois using 100% USA grown soy, and come in a wide variety of scents along with tart melts. It’s a bonus for me that I can support another wonderful, local small business!
PRIMITIVE + VINTAGE FINDS
My husband and I love to take road trips, and I never miss the opportunity with each trip, where I can, to treasure hunt for unique primitive antiques to add to my shop. Many of my vintage “finds” come directly from the Midwest area, and are looking to be well-loved and upcycled into a new home.
HANDMADE DOLLS
When I create a new “doll”, I have no set plan. Instead, I do my best to honor how I believe a mom, oh-so-very-long-ago, would sit down late in the evening with her scrap fabric to make a doll for her daughter. In those days, dolls were crudely made with whatever materials were left behind in a sewing box, as nothing was ever thrown away. These dolls were works of love and no, not very “pretty”. All of my dolls and items look like a step back in time and have a little piece of my heart attached. Each creation comes signed and dated, and is truly a one-of-a-kind design.
GOOFY JACKS
I have been creating my Goofy one-of-a-kind Jacks, AKA pumpkins, for over 20 years now. With Fall being my favorite season, Jacks are my favorite pieces to create. No two ever come close to being alike, and each one takes on their own “goofy” personality. Even after all these years, I still get excited every summer as I sit down to create my latest set for the upcoming season.
